Celebrating Public Service Recognition Week: Greg Lindsey

I serve because I believe it's my obligation to help create opportunities for everyone to have the same types of opportunities I have benefited from throughout my life

I appreciate public servants because they toil day-in and day-out to provide essential services to people that enable them to realize their potential, enjoy the fruits of their labor, and live meaningful, productive lives.

An individual who has inspired my career in public service is Professor William Howenstine who, as a faculty member at Northeastern Illinois University, modeled community engagement as a way of integrating his teaching, research, and public service
